Hoffmann, Inc.'s commitment to safety is evident in our Experience Modification Factor of .81! Through Hoffmann's written safety manual, Incentive Program, and formal training, it is clearly communicated to our project managers, superintendents and their team members that we are dedicated to provide a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and customers. Hoffmann’s Safety Program is not a "safety show". Our safety procedures are built-in methods, derived from pre-planning, analysis, and an overall understanding within our processes and procedures.
Safety Practices
A facility analysis and periodic unannounced inspections are performed by Hoffmann's full-time Safety Coordinator to ensure that safety policies and federal regulations are being followed throughout production on every project. Listed are just a few of the safety practices Hoffmann makes a priority:
- Facility housekeeping is a safety priority and our hallmark
- All Hoffmann personnel are tested to be Drug Free
- Emphasis on Personal Protective Equipment
- Respirators; OSHA 1926.103 and 1910.134
- Hazard Assessment and Hazard Communication; OSHA 1926.59 and 1910.1200
- Confined Space and Rescue Procedures; OSHA 1926.353 and 1910.146
- Serviced Equipment and Machinery with Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures; OSHA 1926.417 and 1926.147
- A Fall Protection Standard that meets or exceeds OSHA 1926 Subpart M
- Scaffolding; OSHA 1926.450 and 1910 Subpart D
- Overhead Cranes
Safety Training
All Hoffmann employees are trained in OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and are responsible for their compliance. Hoffmann’s safety training program consists of, but is not limited to, the following:
- OSHA Dept. of Labor Certified OSHA 10-hour General Industry and Construction Safety Training
- Weekly Safety Meetings/Training
- Red Cross CPR/First Aid Training
- Accident Investigation/Reporting
- Certified Crane Operation/Rigging
- Licensed Fork Truck Operators
